The Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency – Apex-Brasil – and Mawsonia, publisher of Global Corporate Venturing, announce their strategic partnership to develop corporate venture capital in Brasil. Our goal is to give access to the Brazilian investment and entrepreneurial ecosystem for global and local corporate venturing units willing to approach, innovate and invest in the country. Last year’s edition had an audience of almost 600 people during the three days of the meeting point (October 19 to 21) and more than 20 international corporations attended, in addition to 50+ Brazilian corporations and many local VCs, Angels and Accelerators.
In 2016, we are planning the event to happen from October 24 to 26. The first and second days will present a mix of Corporate Venturing best practices from an international perspective, especially emphasizing the investment topic (management, equity, funds, companies’ growth, governance, etc.), and a highlight on the Brazilian investment scenario, by hearing from local corporations and learning how they are investing and innovating. The last day, October 26, will focus on the automotive industry and how to innovate in such industry - in a partnership with the Society of Automotive Engineers Brazil – SAE. During the programme, between 10 and 20 companies are expected to present their solutions and investment opportunities.
